New Work: St. Petersburg

A brand-new portfolio is now online - featuring 36 photographs from the Russian city of St Petersburg and it's surroundings - taken during the intense 2009-10 winter. Russia known for it's cold winters, hasn't seen such a brutal winter itself for decades, with record-breaking snowfall and temperatures below -25°C in St Petersburg. According to media reports, St Petersburg hasn't seen that much snow in the past 130 years. This series was planned for several years, but due to the lack of snow in the past years, I had to postpone it several times. The results are overwhelming, and I think it is one of my best and for me one of the most important portfolios I have created. Prints are available in the following sizes: 30x30cm (ed. of 15) , 50x50cm (ed. of 10), and 100x100cm (ed. of 5). Click HERE to view the new series.

I love your photos from St. Petersburg. I will be living there for one year, beginning in January, and I was really blown away by how stunning it might be. Wonderful job!

fantastische Ansichten, je minimalistischer und je länger belichtet, desto besser. Sie sind einer der Groessten und sicher der beste Oesterreicher.
