New Work: St. Petersburg

A brand-new portfolio is now online - featuring 36 photographs from the Russian city of St Petersburg and it's surroundings - taken during the intense 2009-10 winter. Russia known for it's cold winters, hasn't seen such a brutal winter itself for decades, with record-breaking snowfall and temperatures below -25°C in St Petersburg. According to media reports, St Petersburg hasn't seen that much snow in the past 130 years. This series was planned for several years, but due to the lack of snow in the past years, I had to postpone it several times. The results are overwhelming, and I think it is one of my best and for me one of the most important portfolios I have created. Solo-Exhibitions in Paris and Switzerland

Two solo-exhibitions opened in early April - both will run thru end of May and feature a wide selection of my work. Prints in various sizes are on display. The exhibition in Paris (at Acte 2 Galerie) is my first solo-show in France, and it is also one of my largest exhibitions I had so far. The gallery is very close to the famous Avenue des Champs-Elysees and Arc de Triomphe. The exhibition in Switzerland (at AD-Galerie) has fewer prints, although it stretches over three floors and is only minutes from the scenic Lake Geneva.

Unleashed 3 + Iceland

I'm pleased to announce the production of the second edition of the "Iceland" book and my newest monograph "Unleashed 3" is completed. Both books have left the factory this week and are currently en-route from Hong Kong to Hamburg. They are scheduled to arrive here in Austria by mid-March, when we will start shipping orders. Dubai & the Emirates

The first Dubai series was released in January 2009 and quickly became a very important part of my portfolio. In October, I spent almost one month in Dubai and the six other Emirates - nicknamed "The Magnificent Seven". Iceland book - Second Edition

Originally published in late 2006, the Iceland book sold out in less than a year. Signed copies of the first edition were sold for more than $250 on eBay shortly after. We had plans for the re-print since 2007, and now finally, the long-awaited second edition is in production - and as a bonus, it also features previously unpublished Icelandic work. Having already seen a first unbound copy, I can promise the new edition will surpass the first one in printing quality. The book will be available for pre-order from my site beginning January 2010 and it is expected to be shipped out in April 2010. For more infos click HERE.

Borneo / Malaysia

I have recently returned from a month-long photographic journey in the Middle East and South East Asia. 24 new photographs from this trip have just been released, and can now be found online in the new Borneo and Malaysia portfolios. Fall Solo-Exhibitions

Currently there are five exhibitions of my work on display. For venues and dates please click HERE. I attended three openings, in Barcelona, Knokke, and The Hague, and I would like to thank everyone who stopped by. Another solo-exhibition will open in November in Kiev, Ukraine - which will be the last show for this year. Complete 2010 exhibitions schedule will be announced soon.
